🎪 The big November formats on the mainland

One festival in the strict sense this month, Fury at Razzmatazz, and four formats that stand the comparison: two twelve-hour marathons in Madrid, a birthday that takes the whole of Fabrik, and the Hivernacle closing on the Plaza Mayor of the Poble Espanyol.

Fury Festival, Halloween warehouse rave at Razzmatazz, 1 November

Fury returns to Razzmatazz for its second edition at the club, on the Sunday after Halloween: a warehouse rave across four rooms (ClubSala 4 plus access to Sala 1, 2 and 5), doors at 5pm, and four crews sharing the curation, Fury, Madhouse, KINYXX and Hardcore Maniaks. Art of Fighters leads, with Vortek's, Lady Dammage, Revenja, Pinotello and Samuel Moriero. From €22.50. Vortek's and Samuel Moriero come straight from Walking Bass in Marseille, played the night before; Hardcore Maniaks do it again two weeks later at City Hall with Masia.

Laster Club, five years and twelve hours under the red light, 7 November

Laster Club turns five at The Bassement in Madrid with twelve hours under the red light: doors at 6pm, the room runs until 6am, with Alarico, Blasha & Allatt, Chami, Olivia Mendez, Connor Wall, Laia and Shadow Hrym. Phones stay in pockets, the dancefloor stays dark. €25, 18+. Blasha & Allatt were leading the 23:59 Weekender in Lyon a month earlier.

CODE's 23rd birthday at Fabrik, La Trilogía part II, 14 November

CODE splits its birthday into three nights, and the second lands on Saturday 14 at Fabrik, Madrid's reference for this format for twenty years. Héctor Oaks is the only name announced so far. Part one, on 11 October, lined up twenty-eight names across five stages; wait for the full bill before judging this one.

Teletech Madrid at The Garage, 21 November

Teletech lands at The Garage for twelve straight hours, 1pm to 1am, with ten names announced A to Z rather than by billing: Trym, Azyr back to back with BLK., Nikolina, Alba Franch, TOXIMAMI, Natte Visstick, ines isla, Jazzy and Jowi. The hard end of the spectrum from start to finish. €20, 18+. Jazzy plays the Nantes Warehouse the night before, then Madrid from the afternoon.

Adam Beyer presents Drumcode, Hivernacle Barcelona, 28 November

Drumcode closes the Hivernacle Pop Up Club season on the Plaza Mayor of the Poble Espanyol. Adam Beyer, the label's founder, leads a bill with Anna Tur, Bart Skils and Marco Faraone, Saturday 28 from 10pm to 4am. No price on display yet. Same grounds as INPUT, a few metres away: the Poble Espanyol will have hosted three dates from this guide in a month.

The rest of the month is club business, and Barcelona takes the biggest share, with two venues doubling up: Nitsa two nights in a row, INPUT two Fridays.

🎧 Club nights: Barcelona leads, Valencia and Bilbao follow

Hot Meal Records at Nitsa, 6 November

Nitsa Club runs two parties under one roof on Friday 6. Hot Meal Records takes the Nitsa room with Bad Boombox, Mija and lizaliza, while horsegiirL plays the Astin room; each room has its own entrance and its own ticket. Techno and hardcore, midnight to 6am, €22 to €30. Bad Boombox and Mija do it again at Mia Mao in Paris on the 21st.

INPUT presents Mika Heggemann, 6 November

INPUT, the high-fidelity club inside the Poble Espanyol, hands its Friday to Mika Heggemann, co-founder of Berlin collective Polyamor, between techno and trance. 11:59pm to 6am, €40, 20 and over. Same night as Hot Meal, twenty minutes apart by metro: Barcelona forces a choice from the first Friday.

Reinier Zonneveld live at Nitsa, 7 November

The next night, Nitsa goes again: Reinier Zonneveld live, with Lucía Gea in the Nitsa room while Bambounou takes the Astin room. Acid-tinged techno, midnight to 6am, €22 to €25. Two consecutive nights in the same club, two tickets: take Saturday if you want the live set, Friday if you want the hardcore.

Héctor Oaks all night long and Egyptian Lover at Spook, 7 November

Spook's biggest booking of November, in Valencia: Héctor Oaks all night long, with Egyptian Lover on the same bill. The Berlin-based resident and the Los Angeles electro pioneer in one room, 11pm to 7:30am, 18+. No published price.

Joris Voorn brings his A Trip To Galaxy concept to LAB theCLUB, on the first floor of Chamartín station, for a long solo set from midnight to 6am. €18, 18+. The Dutchman has moved between techno and house for twenty years; that night, the long format is what makes the difference.

Vendex and guests at Spook, 14 November

Vendex holds Spook's second Saturday of the month, guests still unannounced. Techno and hardcore from 11pm to 7:30am, 18+. One week after Héctor Oaks in the same room: Spook strings two hard Saturdays together.

PRISM presents Kangding Ray and Kerrie at INPUT, 20 November

PRISM brings Kangding Ray and Kerrie together at INPUT on Friday 20, 11:59pm to 6am. The French producer behind the ara label and years of Raster-Noton releases meets the Irish DJ and producer who runs Kerrie's Raw Cuts. €40, 20 and over, the same price as Mika Heggemann two weeks earlier.

ALTERA at Fever, Bilbao, 20 November

ALTERA returns to Fever's Sala Blue in Bolueta with four ways into techno. Mr Coalman joins her, Inak plays a vinyl set and Akrelya a modular set. From 11:59pm, no price listed. The only Basque date in the guide, and the only one where hardgroove is billed as such.

Ecch-Ode with Dave Angel and Drivetrain at Village Underground, 28 November

Ecch-Ode, a new yearly series rooted in Detroit's global connection, invites Dave Angel to Village Underground in L'Hospitalet. A pillar of British techno for more than thirty years, he plays alongside Drivetrain, from Detroit, 4R15 and Francisco B of Casa Drassanes, 11pm to 6am. €15: the cheapest door in this guide, the same night as Drumcode at the Poble Espanyol, on the other side of the city.
