Nitsa Club is Barcelona's sharpest electronic programme. Housed since 1995 in Sala Apolo, a former Poble-sec theatre (Nou de la Rambla 113), it runs Friday and Saturday, 00:30 to 6am, across two rooms (Nitsa and Astin).
The line is avant-garde, far from the big format : Aphex Twin, Helena Hauff and Bicep have all played here, and techno sits next to electro with no compromise. During the Off Week around Sónar, Nitsa goes big : the 30th anniversary of DJ Hell's Gigolo Records, then Sama' Abdulhadi the next night.
Alongside Input, Nitsa holds the curated, demanding side of Barcelona, the opposite of the tourist scene. It's the club you come to for the programming, not the decor : an institution that never dropped its standards.
