Techno festival Spain 2026: the full August agenda

Aquasella turns 30 in the Asturias hills, Brunch Electronik lines up Jeff Mills by the Mediterranean, and Ibiza rolls out Hawtin, Kraviz and Carl Cox: eleven hand-picked techno and hard techno dates for August 2026 in Spain, from Madrid to Seville, with the full month's list at the foot of the page.

🎪 The August techno festivals in Spain

Four very different machines share the month: pure techno in the Asturias, Barcelona's day festival, the Cullera giant and the Andalusian open air. For each one, here is what we are actually going for.

Aquasella, 13 to 16 August

Aquasella celebrates its 30th year in the countryside of Arriondas, Asturias. Twenty-nine artists and no filler: Robert Hood, DVS1, Amelie Lens, Kobosil, and b2bs you hardly see anywhere else (Chris Liebing with Luke Slater, Adriana López with Dasha Rush, Philippa Pacho with Rødhåd). Four days of techno with no EDM main stage, deep in the green. The safest bet of the month.

Brunch Electronik, 7 to 9 August

Brunch Electronik's annual festival takes over the Parc del Fòrum, back to the Mediterranean, in daytime format. Over 80 names, each carving its own path: Jeff Mills and Floating Points live for the legend quota, Rødhåd, SNTS, 999999999 and I Hate Models on the harder side, Seth Troxler or Chaos In The CBD if house wins you over by late afternoon. Three days, one real question: which stage you refuse to leave.

Medusa Sunbeach, 13 to 17 August

Five days on the beach of Cullera and more than 150 artists: Medusa is a giant that reports over 160,000 festival-goers per edition. The EDM main stage takes the headlines, but we are there for two specific stages: techno with Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Sara Landry and Nico Moreno, and the massive hardstyle-hardcore contingent with Angerfist, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Wildstylez, Partyraiser and Ophidian. Taken that way, it is a very big hard weekend by the water.

Dreambeach Costa del Sol, 31 July and 1 August

The Andalusian open air in Vélez-Málaga straddles the month: two days in the sand, four stages handed to curators, including one run by Blackworks, the Madrid hard techno crew we keep a close eye on. Nico Moreno, SNTS, Nicole Moudaber and Paco Osuna on the techno side, heavy drum & bass artillery, and David Guetta on the main stage for those concerned. Entry from 49 €.

The rest of the month happens in the clubs, and the map is wider than ever: Ibiza, Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Seville.

🎧 Club nights: from Ibiza to Valencia

Pyramid: Richie Hawtin and Nina Kraviz, 2 August

Amnesia's Pyramid night lines up Richie Hawtin, Nina Kraviz, Fatima Hajji and Patrick Mason. If you only keep one techno date in Ibiza this month, it is this one: Hawtin's minimalism and Kraviz's unpredictability on the same bill.

Carl Cox at [UNVRS], 9 August

The godfather in the island's biggest new club, with Luciano and Ilario Alicante. Less sharp than Pyramid, but Carl Cox in Ibiza remains a rite: three decades of craft, and a room built for the occasion.

Mondo Disko: X-Coast, 8 August

X-Coast brings his hardgroove to Sala But, Mondo Disko's Madrid residence since 1999, with Gerardo Niva and DJ Swisherman. From 23:59 to 6am, from 23 €: the most reliable way to dance hard in Madrid at the peak of summer.

Spook: Karah + In Furcht, 22 August

Valencia's Spook holds the hard industrial line: Karah and In Furcht from 11pm to 7.30am, for 15 to 35 € depending on the tier. The kind of night that makes zero concessions, which is exactly why we go.

Pastis & Buenri all night at Nitsa, 22 August

The legends of Valencian makina play an all-night vinyl set at Nitsa in Barcelona. The sound of the Chocolate era, no warm-up, no guest: two names, crates of vinyl, the whole night. They also pass through Medusa the week before, but the real appointment is this one.

Rebels: Amelie Lens in Seville, 22 August

Amelie Lens alone on the bill at Pandora, Seville's main techno dancefloor, from 10pm to 7am. The Belgian also plays Aquasella this month; here you get the long version, in a city where bookings of this calibre stay rare. Over-18s only.

Spook: Oguz + Aida Arko, 29 August

The month's closing in Valencia: Oguz and Aida Arko, two of the most in-demand names in current hard techno, same booth, same night. From 15 to 35 €, in a room that will already have proven twice this month that it holds the hard line.

📅 Every techno event in Spain this August

Eleven hand-picked dates, but the Spanish month runs deeper than that. The list below carries every August techno event in Spain on calrave, and grows as new ones land. To keep going, head to all techno events in Spain or this month's page. On the French side, we did the same exercise: the August techno agenda for France, and to weigh up both countries, the combined France-Spain edition.
