Techno festival Spain 2026: the full September agenda

Ibiza shuts its season down while the mainland reopens: twelve techno and hard dates picked by hand for September 2026 in Spain, from the Resistance closing with I Hate Models to Blackworks on the Barcelona F1 circuit, Heave in Guadalajara and Ben Sims with Oscar Mulero in Madrid.

Contents

🏝️ Ibiza closes the season

September is the island's last full month, and the bills show it: residencies drop their heaviest lineups at once before pulling the shutter. We kept five dates out of the forty-odd the island runs this month, and left aside the broadest crowd-pleasers (the ones where Jonas Blue and James Hype share a bill), not because they fail, but because that is not what you came here for.

Circoloco at DC-10, 7 September

Sixteen names on the Monday, and the roster leans Romanian: Raresh, Rhadoo and Petre Inspirescu play the same night, which does not line up every month on the island. Around them, Seth Troxler, Leon Vynehall, Mano Le Tough, Antal and Sedef Adasï. Doors 18:00, close 06:00.

Pyramid: Villalobos, Luciano, Nina Kraviz, 13 September

The Amnesia Terraza reads like a minimal festival: Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano and Francesco Del Garda, three players who treat a set as something that unfolds over hours. Nina Kraviz, ANNĒ and Marco Faraone hold the other room. 60 €, 23:00 to 06:00.

MËSTIZA: Héctor Oaks, Indira Paganotto, 13 September

Same Sunday, over at Hï: five names and not one soft slot. Héctor Oaks brings raw Berlin techno, BIIA the fast Spanish wing, Indira Paganotto and Unkle Fon fill in around the MËSTIZA duo. The room that runs a pop-leaning Wednesday sounds like its exact opposite on Sunday. 23:30 to 06:00.

Resistance closing: I Hate Models, Eric Prydz, 16 September

Nine names to close the residency's fifth Ibiza season, and Adam Beyer completes nine Wednesdays out of nine. The booking that changes the shape of the night is I Hate Models: French, fast, and nothing like the Drumcode line this party has run on all summer. Mind Against, Nicole Moudaber, Estella Boersma and Juliet Fox alongside. 70 €, 23:00 to 06:00.

Cocoon closing: Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, DJ Hell, 23 September

Cocoon wraps its season at 528 Ibiza after dates in May and July. Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin and DJ Hell on one bill, with Cassy, Marie Montexier, Franziska Berns, Julya Karma and Sublee around them. Doors 16:00, close 06:00: fourteen hours, still a rarity even here.

On the mainland the mood runs the other way: things are opening, not closing.

🎪 Festivals and open airs on the mainland

Blackworks VII Anniversary Barcelona, 11 September

Blackworks turns seven on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Montmeló, thirty kilometres north of the city. An open air from 17:00 to 05:00 on a Formula 1 track, with the techno-futurist staging that is the collective's signature. Nico Moreno headlines, the rest of the lineup is announced as coming. From 32 €.

Heave Festival, 25 to 27 September

Three days deep in the countryside at Las Inviernas, in the province of Guadalajara, from 18:00 Friday to 10:00 Sunday. Heave fields seventeen names curated by 008collective, Symbole and Trinchera XV, with Nick Höppner and Ness on top: hypnotic and minimal rather than hard. The perfect counterweight to a month of Ibiza.

Mondo Open Air #09: Funk Tribu, 26 September

Mondo Disko takes its outdoor format to Sala But in Madrid, its home since 1999: Funk Tribu and DJ Cringey from 15:00 to 23:00, from 30 €. And if you are not done, the afterparty runs in the same venue from 23:59 to 06:00 with Kara Okay and Freddi, at 20 €. The only plan of the month where you can do fifteen hours without changing address.

Festival Mutacions, 26 and 27 September

Psyk tops the 2026 bill at Nova Jazz Cava in Terrassa, 21:00 to 03:30. Six names for twelve to fourteen euros, in a jazz club that gives itself over to techno for one night. Best value of the month, no argument.

🎧 The clubs reopen

Laster: Ben Sims & Oscar Mulero, 18 September

Two of the most durable names in European techno share The Bassement in Madrid, 23:59 to 06:00. London mixing rigour meets the Madrid school Mulero has carried since the Omen days. Thirty euros for two artists, two long sets, no filler.

Barraca: season opener with Colin Benders, 19 September

The Valencia club reopens with Colin Benders' modular live show, a session built in real time out of synths and improvisation, which never sounds the same twice. The Dutch producer takes the Main Room with residents Domen, Lucas Cabello and Sou Allen, midnight to 07:30. More names to be confirmed.

Dax J + VIL at Spook Club, 26 September

Spook Club in Valencia hosts Dax J, a familiar face in British hard techno, with Portugal's VIL. One night, two names, no staging: the Valencia room works like that all year.

📅 Every techno event in Spain this September

Twelve dates do not sum up a month that holds more than a hundred and thirty. The list below carries every September techno event in Spain on calrave, and grows as we add more. From there, head to every techno event in Spain or this month's events. On the French side, we ran the same exercise: the September techno agenda in France, and a combined edition if you are torn between the two countries. Last month's edition is still up: the August techno agenda in Spain.
