Skullcore: hardcore & uptempo collective in Bordeaux
A portrait of Skullcore, the hardcore and uptempo collective from Bordeaux : since 2018 the crew has run its club nights between Hangar DS and Hangar FL, booking Angerfist and Lil Texas, plus its own Stormcore festival and local residents like Maissouille and La Teigne.

🎚️ Who they are
Skullcore has held down Bordeaux's hardcore line for almost eight years. The first nights ran back in 2018 at L'Entrepôt, already booking names like Rooler, D-Fence and Dartek against local residents. Since then, the collective has stayed the city's only structured night for the crowd that turns up for the heavy stuff, from hardcore to uptempo.
The head behind the operation is Davy: his surname doesn't circulate, he stays backstage. What really sets Skullcore apart from a standard collective is its room flexibility. The crew moves between two Bordeaux warehouses depending on the capacity they need: Hangar DS in the north of Bordeaux (17 rue Édouard Faure) and Hangar FL in Floirac, on the banks of the Garonne. Two real addresses from the same group, not a rebrand: DS holds the recent club nights, FL takes the big dates.
🔊 The sound
The spectrum covers the whole hard end: hardcore and uptempo as the base, then frenchcore, hardtek, rawstyle and crossbreed depending on the night. 180 BPM and up, no detour through the mainstage. If you're after minimal or tech-house, this isn't it.
The collective's strength is its local base. The Bordeaux residents who keep showing up in support of the big names: La Teigne, Hare, F!sher, Maissouille, Pigminds, Padawan, Sparx Lesson. They're the reason a Skullcore date never comes down to an imported DJ dropped onto a flyer, but to a night with a city's identity.

Two formats live side by side: the in-house festival, and the monthly club night that makes up the crew's everyday.
Stormcore, the in-house festival
Beyond the club nights, Skullcore runs its own festival: Stormcore, launched around 2018-2019 at Hangar FL. The fourth edition, in February 2019, already lined up Noize Suppressor, N-Vitral, GPF and Noisekick, with real staging (mapping by Roolpix, in-house decor). It's their most ambitious event, multi-genre hard across a full night.
Skullcore invites Angerfist
The crew's power move. Booking Angerfist, one of the most in-demand DJs in global hardcore (the Masters of Hardcore stable), into a modest-sized Bordeaux room is anything but obvious. The date runs at Hangar FL, with D-Frek in support.
The Hangar DS club nights
The cruising speed is the night at Hangar DS. In 2026 the crew ran Lil Texas and Chaos Project through an Uptempo Edition in February, then Rooler in April. Next up: Deadly Guns, Anderex, So Juice and Remzcore, on Saturday 12 September, set at 23:59, entry at 12.59 €.
