Nantes Rave Techno : hard techno collective at the Warehouse

Nantes Rave Techno (NRT) has driven Nantes hard techno at the Warehouse since 2022, built around its 360° Boiler Room stage. Hard headliners (Sara Landry, I Hate Models, Nico Moreno), invited local collectives, and two XXL editions coming in 2026 with Nikolina then Novah.

🎚️ Who they are

Nantes Rave Techno, NRT to regulars, is the series that put hard techno at the centre of the Warehouse from 2022 on. Not just another collective : a night built to back the city's artists and crews, with a guest headliner each edition and a stage setup you won't find anywhere else nearby. It runs on the Île de Nantes, in the Hangar à Bananes, and it has become the local reference for anyone chasing big sound on the Nantes scene.

🔊 The 360° Boiler Room stage

NRT's signature is its 360° stage. The DJ plays in the middle of the room, the crowd wrapping around on every side, Boiler Room style. It isn't a gimmick bolted on to look current : it has been the series' DNA since night one, and it's what sets it apart from a standard stage where the artist faces you from a distance. On full-throttle hard techno, the effect is direct : you're inside the kick, not in front of it. Few Nantes nights push the format this far.

🤝 The hub of the Nantes scene

NRT books heavy. Sara Landry, I Hate Models, SNTS, Nico Moreno, Patrick Mason and Vladimir Cauchemar have all played the 360° stage, on a hard techno and industrial line that never drifts toward mainstream EDM. But NRT's real move is refusing to keep the bill to itself : every edition hands the mic to Nantes collectives (Bloom, Invasion Nantaise, La Bergerie, Boreal, Mauve, La Bringue, Hotline) instead of lining up a faceless warm-up. The "NRT x Hotline All Stars" edition in summer 2025 is the clearest example : two crews sharing the deck. Alongside the hard stuff, trance and acid find their place in the line-ups too.

The collective even took Nantes beyond its own walls. In September 2023, the Warehouse and its NRT series built "Projet 44" : an all-Nantes float to represent the city at the 25th Techno Parade in Paris, alongside other local players (Combeuil Audio, La Bringue, Continuum, Visual Access). A first on that scale for the Nantes techno scene.

📍 Where to catch them

Two XXL editions are locked for the rest of 2026, both at the Warehouse. The easiest way to track the next dates : the collective's agenda on calrave.

XXL with Nikolina, 28 August

The Nantes Rave Techno XXL on 28 August lines up thirteen artists around Nikolina, Medusa and Nemesys, on a bill that runs schranz, hardcore and uptempo. From 13 to 45€, tickets on Shotgun.

XXL with Novah, 9 October

On 9 October, the XXL shifts into hard dance with Belgium's Novah on top, France's Matrakk, plus Maudux, DJ Caline and Mosmoz. More hard house and trance than the August edition, same 360° stage in the middle of the room.
