Hï opened on 28 May 2017 on the plot where Space stood until it closed on 2 October 2016, after twenty-seven years. Same operator as [UNVRS], The Night League. Two big rooms carry the night : the Theatre, whose dancefloor sits inside a raised terrace like an Italian amphitheatre, and the Club, low-ceilinged with the booth down at floor level. The room worth knowing about is the third one, and it is the toilets. The Wild Corner has unisex cubicles running down both sides, sinks at one end, and a working DJ booth with a dancefloor between them, under a low strobe-lit ceiling. It holds 150 to 200 people. A club built for thousands keeps a room the size of a bar, and that gap is the most honest thing about the place. What we track here is four of the eight residencies. Eastenderz on Tuesdays, where East End Dubs brings in Marco Carola, Luciano and Hot Since 82. OUR HOUSE on Wednesdays with Meduza and James Hype resident. Summer of Love with CamelPhat and Indira Paganotto on every date. MËSTIZA from September, which is where the room gets genuinely hard. The other four nights, Solèy, Hugel, Dom Dolla and Black Coffee, sit outside what calrave covers, so they are not on this page. The dates to mark are on the hard side : Charlie Sparks on 16 August, Kobosil on the 23rd, DAX J with Elli Acula and Anna Unusyan on 27 September, and the MËSTIZA closing on 4 October with Pan-Pot and Anetha. Summer of Love holds Sundays in August then moves to Fridays in September, and MËSTIZA takes the Sunday over.
