The venues

Dieze Warehouse leads the way : 1300 m² main room on Avenue du Marché Gare, Berlin-style industrial mood, techno, hard techno and minimal programming that pulls the big names (Amelie Lens, Chris Liebing, I Hate Models).

In the centre, L'Antirouille holds underground techno in an alternative, engaged format, more DIY, open to local collectives. PZ City Club rounds it out with a more mainstream electronic slot but regular lineups.

The festivals

Family Piknik sets up on 1 and 2 August 2026 at the Parc des Expositions in Pérols, just outside Montpellier. A daytime open-air, but no soft party : the 2026 Hard Stage lines up the real thing with Organïk and Trym.

It's the city's summer fixture, the one that pulls clubbers up from across the Mediterranean basin. Beyond it, no other techno festival identified in Montpellier for 2026.

The summer scene

Montpellier is 90,000 students and a sharp seasonality : the scene steps up in summer, carried by open-airs and clubbers coming up from across the south. Dieze Warehouse plays the local Berghain, industrial warehouse, raw sound, no frills, in a city where partying also happens outdoors.

Family Piknik sums up that double DNA : a daytime festival with a real Hard Stage, in a city that doesn't think it's Paris. Montpellier dates surface in the list opposite week after week.
