Hybrid : hardgroove collective in Madrid (Sala Cocó)

Hybrid (formerly Hard Brutality) is the Madrid hardgroove collective with a Saturday residency at Sala Cocó. On the bill in September 2026: DJ Pepo, Riana Holley, BTFL then GEA across four straight Saturdays. Rolling city-centre techno, away from the warehouses of Blackworks and the Fabrik mega-club of CODE.

🎚️ Who they are

Hybrid is the new name for Hard Brutality. The Madrid hardgroove collective rebranded its project as "The Evolution" and kept the same anchor: a Saturday-night residency at Sala Cocó, right in the centre of Madrid, on Calle de Alcalá. Not a warehouse on the outskirts, not a 4,000-capacity mega-club: a city-centre room where the night runs from 11:59 PM to 6 AM. A weekly hardgroove residency in a central Madrid club is a rare thing.

🔊 The sound

The line is hardgroove: rolling, percussive techno that grooves more than it hits head-on. That sets them apart in hard Madrid. Where Blackworks drags its hard techno from warehouse to warehouse and CODE fills the five rooms of Fabrik, Hybrid bets on the tighter club format and weekly regularity. Hardgroove as a chosen niche, not a loss-leader.

📍 Where to catch them

The residency stays in the same room, one Saturday after another. For September 2026, four nights in a row at Sala Cocó: DJ Pepo on the 5th, Riana Holley on the 12th, BTFL on the 19th and GEA on the 26th, always 11:59 PM to 6 AM, tickets via Fourvenues. We broke down all four bills and the price step in our recap of their new season. After that, keep an eye on the collective's agenda on calrave and their official site.
