The venues

Kodz opened in Englos in September 2025 inside the old Macumba : 1500 m², 1000 capacity, the biggest club north of Paris, a reference sound system and an official shuttle from Lille-Flandres. Opening with I Hate Models and Ascendant Vierge, open-air on 6 June with Organïk and Tranche, regular dates behind.

In the centre, Le Baron on Rue Royale plays it intimate (~200 capacity, free entry, open daily), deep house, techno and drum & bass Berlin-style. Slalom holds the alternative line with hard techno and hardstyle (H! Dude on 12 June 2026). Le Phare de Tourcoing, a deconsecrated church 10 minutes out, hosts techno, trance and dub.

The festivals

Blue Moon Festival launches its first edition on 31 May 2026 at Le Phare de Tourcoing : dub, trance, acid, techno and gabber inside a deconsecrated church, carried by Le Coven and its federated collectives. It's the fixture of this late May.

Jardin d'Hiver pulled 5000 ravers across 4000 m² in February, but it's done : worth keeping in mind for 2027. Beyond that, no major techno festival identified in the North after June 2026.

France's Belgian gateway

Lille is France's gateway to the Belgian scene : Brussels (Fuse, Kompass Klub) and Ghent are an hour away, and that cross-border corridor creates a rare porosity : Lille heads to Belgium on Saturday, Belgians land at Kodz on Friday. The closing of Magazine Club in March 2025 (11 years, Dax J and I Hate Models in residence) left a void that Kodz is filling head-on, bigger and harder.

The North owns the most extreme styles (gabber, hardcore, uptempo), a direct legacy of Belgian and Dutch sound systems, far from the Parisian dark-chic techno. Lille dates surface in the list opposite week after week.
