The venues

I.Boat is the landmark : a barge-club moored on Quai de Paludate on the Garonne, rooftop plus indoor room, electro, house and underground techno. North of the centre, L'Entrepôt runs raw Berlin-style warehouse (concrete, metal, hard light), dark acid techno and trance, home to the Fugitive and Skullcore collectives, with I Hate Models and Boris Brejcha already through.

Over in Bègles, BT59 has held the historic hangar since 2006, Adamson sound system, techno-house-minimal, host to Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox. Hangar DS rounds it out up north with a hard music and uptempo line, Skullcore's HQ.

The festivals

Fort Décibel takes over the Fort Médoc in Cussac, 40 minutes north of Bordeaux, on 7 and 8 August 2026 : trance, acid and techno inside a Vauban fort on the estuary, co-run by Son Libre and Millésime. It's the big open-air of late summer.

In town, Brunch Electronik wrapped in late May (Amelie Lens, Eric Prydz), worth keeping in mind for 2027. Beyond that, no other techno festival identified ahead in Bordeaux for 2026.

The riverside scene

Bordeaux is the riverside scene : the whole electronic nightlife revolves around the Garonne, I.Boat on the water, L'Entrepôt a stone's throw away, Quai de Paludate as the central axis. What sets it apart from Paris : a deeply rooted hardcore and uptempo culture (Skullcore was born here, Fort Décibel is only 40 minutes out), carried by a student crowd that owns the most extreme styles.

The scene is rawer, less hype : venues that embrace the warehouse without trying to be destination clubs. Bordeaux dates surface in the list opposite week after week.
